Well, it looks like I can't add a photo right now. But I jumped back into my couponing after my disaster earlier this week. I was pretty successful! So I'm really excited for this next week. I can say right now I did NOT stay under my 210$ goal. I paid for an oil change, softball fees, and had to pay my gardener. These next few weeks I will put aside a portion for those things so it doesn't skew my weekly report.
On another note, I started exercising again. Just a 60min walk on the treadmill. I still have a cough so I didn't want to be too strenuous on my lungs. It's a good start. It's also nice to eat chocolate to balance my day!

Tuesdays Results...

Today I went to Walgreens.
Rule #1... Don't go couponing with a head cold. My first transaction went well, but they all went downhill from there. Total for all the items : $121.01 OOP (out of pocket) 54.42 and I had $12 in register rewards left to go towards another purchase.
Like I said, the first transaction went well, but the second is where I ran into trouble. I completely spaced that I had too many coupons in the second transaction that did not allow me to use any of my register rewards cash. I ended up with $12 in RR that I couldn't use, so I paid 11.00 OOP and earned an extra $3 IN RR. Now I have $15.
I went home and tried to regroup and made a new shopping plan.
I should have stayed home, because the checker made such horrible mistakes that I didn't catch and instead of paying $5, I paid $16 OOP.
Overall, I did well - but it could have been better if I had been focused and remembered Walgreens coupon policy.
On the bright side... we have TP back in stock at our house, I'm set for a while on feminine care, the kids got their favorite cereals (that I never buy because they are always so expensive) , and I got my favorite crackers (that I can't have until I finish my cleanse). Oh, and Tim and I have plenty of soap and shampoo for Q1 of the year.
Yay!

Couponing...
Okay, so this is my new thing. Couponing. I've dabbled in it a little, and I really like how things are going. So now it's time to turn it up. Just as an example, we all have colds right now. So what I would usually do is run to the drugstore and buy cold medicine at Full price, tissues, and some Airborne or Emergan-C to help us kick it quickly. Cold relief runs me about $15 or the kids (name brand) and $12 for me and Tim (store brand). Tissues $1and I may pass on the Airborne if I'm already having a heart attack over the cost of the medicine.
Last month with my couponing, I picked up medicine for the kids AND us for about 20. Four boxes for them, four for us. Plus a three pack boxes of tissues. So when this hit, I was ready. I just have the sneezes, so I haven't used the cold meds yet. But it's all there, and I didn't pay full price.
Tomorrow I am all set for my shopping trip. I am taking a $50 bill and we will see if I can only spend that much and what I end up getting. It's like a game! And my friends know how competitive I am!
My goal for the month of January is to spend no more than $210 a week in groceries. That is 30$ per day!
Tim thinks is retarded. He hates the coupon clipping and sorting. But he's enjoying his cold meds!
Brianna loves the couponing. One week the total came to 58$ and after coupons it was $21. She thinks it's magic!
