I had thought about just picking up the old blog where it left off... (2009) but now it's 2011 and our family is kind of in a different place now. Maybe...kind of, sort of. The old blog is something that I really have to look back at and put in the kids' baby books or something.


So as you can see, it's 2011, i still am married ( shocker, I know! I haven't killed him just yet) and I still have 3 kids who are growing so fast! I still love photography, softball, coaching, and the occasional knitting.

I started my blog again because honestly, Facebook doesn't give me enough characters to use in my status updates. And I don't do well with the short story.

So want to hear the big news? I started the HCG diet yesterday. Today is my day 2 of phase 1. Which means I can eat whatever the heck I want. You may think...awesome...it's not. Went to bed feeling sick and bloated because I ate a double double and fries from in n out. Too much food. This morning I didn't eat breakfast until 9am. I had an avocado. It's almost time to eat again....
Now before I hear , " Kim, why are YOU doing this diet?" let me tell you something...
I'm going on vacation. I've been trying to lose 10 pounds the "right" way for like 3 months. I eat pretty well, I play softball 3 days a week, I jog 5 days a week and I strength train 3 days a week. Not a pound lost, maybe 3-5 inches lost. F* that. I want to go on vacation 10 lbs lighter. So if you want to judge, don't read my blog or comment on it. I don't want to drink your shake, or spend 2 hours at the gym or in my living room sweating to a video. When I get back from vacation, my ten pounds will be back from all that great food. But I will weigh 160, not 170! Haha!

Other than that, things are good. Bean is playing fall ball ( I'm back in my managing saddle, whoooooo hoooo!) and the baby is playing fall ball too. He has an awesome coach who loves him. Some people wonder why his dad doesn't coach him. It's for his own good. He doesn't have the thick skin Bean does. If Dad tells her she needs to improve or her form sucks, she strives to do better. If Dad tells him the same thing, he starts to cry and doesnt want to play anymore. We can't have that. The baby is an AWESOME player. He is 8 and plays with 10, 11, and 12 year old kids. He makes diving catches and sliding stops. He runs bases aggressively. So no Dad coaching for now :(

My oldest is out of Softball for now. We shall see what the future brings her. She starts VVC in a couple weeks, she has 2 courses this semester. She is almost old enough for a learners permit. Time to start teaching her. YIKES!!!!

Time for some more food...

  1. I was just thinking the other day that you looked very skinny in a healthy sort of way. What is the HCG diet?
    Maybe I will start my blog again...You are such an inspiration. ;)

    The HCG is a very restrictive diet that is designed to rest your hypothalamus. It is a hormone that is found in pregnant women's urine. So for 21 days you eat 500 calories from a list of pre approved foods. Basically i can eat 3.5 oz of chicken, a veggie, a fruit and a Melba toast. I will probably eat chicken every day because I am so picky. The first two days you eat whatever you want that's fatty.
    My teammates and friends are having major success, so I figured I would try it. I use the homeopathic drops.

  3. Well, I'd never make it on this diet. I would get an F grade. I see your point Kim but I think both you & LS look great. I went home thinking how much I loved the skirt LS wore to your house. I should offer her some money for it. This is the other B.
